Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Lord Buddha's world acclaimed, unassailable and ever- excelling prajna (pradnya) was haunting the author ever since. Pradnya has been ever escalated by an ordinary man to a Divine-Pitch never to be dislodged there from. This is not a myth; in fact it has been a vivid extraordinary human effort. Study of human evolution unfolds that we evolve, evolve and evolve over many centuries. It holds a challenge even today to modern organized scientific knowledge, how could life of such organized wisdom evolve in an early period of human evolution. The author has ventured to delve into a challenging subject. Does this mean that the Buddha could possibly stir and activate every possible brain neuron to design an impeccable human behavioral model ahead of many centuries which is not yet excelled? My book is innovative, inspiring, thought-provoking and confidence building, the only one first of its kind and attracts attention at once. Although, "The Kingdom of righteousness" was proclaimed by the Blessed One, some 500-600 years before Christian era, yet that remained obscured from the public glare for a long time. Until Sir Edvin Arnold released his poem "Light of Asia" in July 1879 in London, which flashed on a Master mind from Asia, second to none. "The Light of Asia" brought forth the reformer philosophy of a giant from Asia, which raised expectations of understanding of hope, belief of empire and gave a completely new impetus to the History of World thought. It revolutionized traditional thinking by shaking its very foundation.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The story of how the Indian reformer Bhimrao Ambedkar reimagined John Dewey's pragmatism. In The Evolution of Pragmatism in India, Scott R. Stroud delivers a comprehensive exploration of the influence of John Dewey's pragmatism on Bhimrao Ambedkar, architect of the Republic of India's constitution. Stroud traces Ambedkar's development in Dewey's Columbia University classes in 1913-1916 through his final years in 1950s India when he rewrote the story of Buddhism. Stroud examines pragmatism's influence not only on the philosophical ideas underpinning Ambedkar's fight against caste oppression but also how his persuasive techniques drew on pragmatism's commitment to reconstruction and meliorism. At the same time, Stroud is careful to point out the ways that Ambedkar pushed back against Dewey's paradigm and developed his own approach to challenges in India. The result is a nuanced study of one of the most important figures in Indian history.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Identity conflicts, a prominent feature of our times, a phenomenon of belonging somewhere yet belonging nowhere, are increasingly finding their way into cinema. This book looks at the representations of identity conflicts in India on the canvas of Indian cinema, connecting them with broader socio-political developments in contemporary India. Starting with the historical background of how political developments in Europe like the emergence of Nation states, secularism, modernity influenced socio-political developments in India in the past century, the book looks at how those developments have shaped modern India. While looking at the cinematic representations of a variety of identity conflicts through the lens of cultural and political analysis, it provides insights into how the construct of an Identity and the inherent conflicts associated with it evolve and manifest themselves through the medium of a film.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book systematically examines and quantifies industrial problems by assessing the complexity and safety of large systems. It includes chapters on system performance management, software reliability assessment, testing, quality management, analysis using soft computing techniques, management analytics, and business analytics, with a clear focus on exploring real-world business issues. Through contributions from researchers working in the area of performance, management, and business analytics, it explores the development of new methods and approaches to improve business by gaining knowledge from bulk data. With system performance analytics, companies are now able to drive performance and provide actionable insights for each level and for every role using key indicators, generate mobile-enabled scorecards, time series-based analysis using charts, and dashboards. In the current dynamic environment, a viable tool known as multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) is increasingly being adopted to deal with complex business decisions. MCDA is an important decision support tool for analyzing goals and providing optimal solutions and alternatives. It comprises several distinct techniques, which are implemented by specialized decision-making packages. This book addresses a number of important MCDA methods, such as DEMATEL, TOPSIS, AHP, MAUT, and Intuitionistic Fuzzy MCDM, which make it possible to derive maximum utility in the area of analytics. As such, it is a valuable resource for researchers and academicians, as well as practitioners and business experts.

Book excerpt: This volume explores the connections between mathematical modeling, computational methods, and high performance computing, and how recent developments in these areas can help to solve complex problems in the natural sciences and engineering. The content of the book is based on talks and papers presented at the conference Modern Mathematical Methods and High Performance Computing in Science & Technology (M3HPCST), held at Inderprastha Engineering College in Ghaziabad, India in January 2020. A wide range of both theoretical and applied topics are covered in detail, including the conceptualization of infinity, efficient domain decomposition, high capacity wireless communication, infectious disease modeling, and more. These chapters are organized around the following areas: Partial and ordinary differential equations Optimization and optimal control High performance and scientific computing Stochastic models and statistics Recent Trends in Mathematical Modeling and High Performance Computing will be of interest to researchers in both mathematics and engineering, as well as to practitioners who face complex models and extensive computations.
