Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I'm not an advocate for disability issues. Human issues are what interest me. Aimee Mullins The Abolition, Religious Freedom, Civil Rights, Women’s Suffrage, Anti-Poverty, Labor, Right to Life, LGBT, Peace, Anti-War,Veterans, Differently Challenged and Black Lives Matter Movements, were and are all about the same thing, the right of every human to respect, dignity, fair and equal treatment before the law and freedom. So though the focus of this book is about the “Wheel Life of Dionte Christian,” who was born with cerebral palsy, uses a wheelchair and survived a vicious attack on his life at just eleven years old, it highlights the resilience of the human spirit. It is about champions of every color, nationality, faith, class and ability which Dionte calls his brothers and sisters. Dionte asked me to write this book for him because he wants to take the pain of his life and struggles, and use it to help others heal. He decided in the Winter of 2020 that his salvation lies in dedicating his life and gifts to the liberation of the disabled, addicted and depressed from the tyranny of feelings of self-defeat, suicidal ideation and loneliness. He knows that in order to maintain his own sobriety and sanity, he must reach out to those who still suffer with the diseases of addiction, mental illness and depression as well as physical challenges. At the same time it is a Public Education Tool meant to inform everyone about how to best respect the dignity of the physically and mentally challenged in a way that includes them and not exclude them. Dionte lives in Westchester, Illinois. He graduated from Proviso West High School 2008. Completed one year study of Computer Technology at Triton Community College 2009. He frequently volunteers at Shirley Ryan’s Ability Lab and has previously been a volunteer at Easter Seals. His goal is to share his faith, hope and experience with others who are struggling with depression, addictions and physical challenges. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life Awareness and Deep Travel Jungian Coach Şebnem Toker invites everyone on an extraordinary adventure for a harmonious integration of spirit, mind, and body: •Identify the knots that disrupt the process. •Either restart or continue from where you left off, but be sure to take action. •Serve your own life. What is the golden ratio of the "spirit, mind, body" integration? The key to a satisfying, happy, and successful life lies in discovering what each of these components fundamentally needs. This is called life awareness. Life awareness is possible through deepening one's understanding of oneself. It means a process of self-exploration and constructing new meanings. Thinking that your desires do not matter to life would be an injustice to it. Of course, they matter! In fact, perhaps this is the main issue! At the Wheel of Life is an action book where Şebnem Toker synthesizes her personal work with the Jungian coaching approach. The book offers the reader two options: Either "Continue from where you left off!" or "Restart!" In both cases, you can be both someone completely different and exactly yourself... Doesn't that sound wonderful? Special to the book, there are three meditation podcasts... Scan the QR codes inside to listen.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A guide to personal spiritual initiation through the transformation of habitual patterns, apathy, and resistance • Based on the Native American medicine wheel, the Vedic wheel, and the universal initiatory mandala • Enables readers from any tradition to initiate themselves through practices of thought transformation, narrative medicine, meditation exercises, rituals, and journaling • Facilitates breaking through personal and societal illusions that perpetuate resistance and apathy Intentions and spiritual principles, meditation and contemplation, ritual, and risk-taking are the conditions that comprise an initiated life. Regrettably, in modern society we do not have rites of initiation that break through the personal and societal illusions that instill and perpetuate negative habits that keep us in states of resistance. Lacking initiation practices, we often remain trapped in ways of being in the world that were formed by our past conditions and attachments. We tend to identify too strongly with the status quo, which must be challenged to prevent stagnation and to encourage happiness and authenticity. Julie Tallard Johnson shows how to become initiated into an authentic life through practices of thought transformation, cultivating attention, journaling, storytelling, and rituals found in the four directions of the universal mandala. She begins the Wheel of Initiation in the South, where initiates set their intentions; then moves into the West, where they free themselves from habitual patterns and core beliefs; then into the North, the direction of cultivating attention and unity; and finishes in the East, the direction of regeneration and initiation. Drawing upon the life experiences of those who have successfully navigated the wheel, Johnson demonstrates that once fears, assumptions, and ingrained beliefs are confronted and transformed, initiates emerge ready to reenter society with renewed energy and vision that will enrich their own lives and their communities.
