Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Marie feels trapped in her relationship with her mother. Her mom is a hoarder, so Marie came to Dr. Daniel Nehrbass with the question:" How can I get my mom to stop hoarding, so we can all live a normal life? " Dr. Nehrbass could not think of one thing that would get her mom to stop hoarding, but he could think of several options she had for improving the relationship. In UnTrapped, Dr. Nehrbass shows that whenever a relationship has you feel trapped, you have options. Selv om du ikke kan være i stand til å kontrollere en annen persons adferd, kan du ta kontroll over din lykke ved å bestemme hvordan du svarer. Dr. Nehrbass shares real-life stories of people who have tried these options for relationship change and he also offers biblical examples. Neste gang du føler dig fanget, vil du være forberedt med de muligheder du finder i UnTrapped. Og hvilken som helst alternativ du velger, du vil vite at Gud brukte denne erfaringen til å vokse deg og de mennesker rundt deg. "

This book was released on 2023-03-25 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mankind has invested vast resources (time, manhours, computer machinery sunk costs, maintenance, building space, heating, venting, cooling, and so on) into software for all kinds of digital and analog hardware for over sixty years. Far longer if you consider punched cards, and so on. In the end, most of the source code ends in the waste heap of history. Old code gets forgotten, rub- bished, and a new wave of developers is forced to recreate new versions of old ideas. People get promoted, graduate from college, and leave to get married; before they do they don’t have time, don’t believe in the priority, and don’t place the code where others can find it to make an important curation of their software; and by this donate it to future generations, worldwide, the society at large. If organizations, at the other end of the spectrum, would realign software for a legacy of centuries instead of product runs, mankind can preserve the sunk costs, speed up advancement, and make software impact far wider when it’s made in a reusable form. People move to a new job, and remake linked lists, factory classes, or ring buffers in the new language of the day, or within the design paradigm of the latest fad management. It’s kind of insane when you think about it, people spend many years getting a consumer product working, finely tuned and profitable. Then two companies merge, product lines are unified or obsoleted, and some or all of the intellectual property gets forgotten in a corner as one team is merged and the others retire to golf, or the pool. While filling in cardboard boxes of stuff as they leave, does anyone drag out the old tapes and floppies to make sure the new guys aren’t starting by reinventing the wheel?

Untrapping Product Teams covers everything you need to know to lead a product team and be successful as a product manager. Author David Pereira does an excellent job of pointing out biases and thinking traps that doom products. The book is full of many insights and tools that will be useful for years to come." --Mike Cohn, co-founder of Agile Alliance "David's book shares several hard-earned lessons of what happens when product leaders, product managers, and especially product owners are not trained to succeed in their jobs, and they go on to make predictable and avoidable mistakes. This book can help you avoid some of these pitfalls." --Marty Cagan, partner, Silicon Valley Product Group "This book touches on all the daily essentials for a product person. It's a practical guide and a meta-analysis rolled into one, serving as the 'Greatest Hits' album of Product Management. Ideal for newcomers and an excellent refresher for those already immersed in the field." --Petra Wille, author of Strong Product People Register your book for convenient access to downloads, updates, and/or corrections as they become available. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This revised and enlarged second edition of the popular textbook and reference contains comprehensive treatments of both the established foundations of magnetic fusion plasma physics and of the newly developing areas of active research. It concludes with a look ahead to fusion power reactors of the future. The well-established topics of fusion plasma physics -- basic plasma phenomena, Coulomb scattering, drifts of charged particles in magnetic and electric fields, plasma confinement by magnetic fields, kinetic and fluid collective plasma theories, plasma equilibria and flux surface geometry, plasma waves and instabilities, classical and neoclassical transport, plasma-materials interactions, radiation, etc. -- are fully developed from first principles through to the computational models employed in modern plasma physics. The new and emerging topics of fusion plasma physics research -- fluctuation-driven plasma transport and gyrokinetic/gyrofluid computational methodology, the physics of the divertor, neutral atom recycling and transport, impurity ion transport, the physics of the plasma edge (diffusive and non-diffusive transport, MARFEs, ELMs, the L-H transition, thermal-radiative instabilities, shear suppression of transport, velocity spin-up), etc. -- are comprehensively developed and related to the experimental evidence. Operational limits on the performance of future fusion reactors are developed from plasma physics and engineering constraints, and conceptual designs of future fusion power reactors are discussed.
